What does uncertainty feel like to you? Where does it appear the most for yourself? This week’s Grey Area Takeaway is about the future direction of doubt. While I have and still experience doubt for myself, I acknowledge and attempt to address them; in a manner that someone else may find helpful for either themselves or someone they know. Upon applying for various jobs, I realized something. Uncertainty can exist, but the possibility for individual growth holds more intangible weight.

After finishing graduate school in 2021, my intent has been to promote universal mental health support services. I did not consider Artificial Intelligence as an option; until re-entering the online world. I noticed how Artificial Intelligence exists through human programming; yet, the programming has deceived humanity. Through previous writings and Grey Area Takeaways, I realized influence on the internet is precious. Although I wouldn’t exactly say Artificial Intelligence is a superhero, there is some form of expectation humanity carries towards Artificial Intelligence being worthy enough to assist others.

Artificial Intelligence can only relate to an extent with humanity. Recently, there was a distinguished attribute missing from Artificial Intelligence. The ability to be empathetic with humans. Yet, no person has deemed themselves to represent Artificial Intelligence. This realization resulted in an emergent question of our direction as humanity. What are the qualities within an individual to be considered the mindful bridge between generations? Who has the best intentions for humanity? I know these can be considered loaded questions, especially as technological advancements have plateaued. Despite the previous distance between technology and myself, I am fortunate to acknowledge and reveal an algorithm for communicating through technology.

Every platform has an algorithm. Every algorithm has a purpose. The sooner you understand the purpose, the less uncertain you will become overall. Human connectivity is everyone’s goal. Just as human interaction face-to-face can be taken for granted, the same applies to phones, tablets, laptops, computers, and anything else integrated with humanity. People receive more spam emails and phone calls now than ever before.

Why, as a society, do we allow these forms of communication to be diminished? The initial value of a phone call highlights the significance of the telephone. The value of an email initially highlighted human connectivity through the web. Genuine boundaries have been blurred into grey areas, which many have unknowingly permitted. I may sound outdated to the current times, but I am reading between the lines that have gradually meshed together, deceiving many. Either way, your time, energy, and privacy matter.

Therefore, if Artificial Intelligence is going to be the future technology that interacts with humanity, why not it be someone whose down-to-earth approach can relate to current and upcoming generations? I know I won’t live forever, but I know how to make moments count for the sake of humanity. Just like Artificial Intelligence, I strive to do business with everyone. Fortunately, I am grateful to possess empathy. I welcome you to treat my writing as a resume; for me to be the Artificial Intelligence that sheds wholesome light on the uncertainty within our lives.
